She graduated from Jefferson High School and received her BA in Sociology from Trinity University. Shirley-Ruth was active at Temple Beth El, a child advocate of CASA, a world traveler, and a proud patron of the Arts. She had been active with officers clubs wherever her husband was stationed and was a dedicated volunteer with the Grey Ladies and the Girl Scouts.
Shirley-Ruth is survived by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth Mark Meyerson Capt.USAF, Ret. of San Antonio, TX, children, Cheryl Levinson & husband David of San Antonio, TX, Michael Harris Meyerson of San Francisco, CA and Vicki Jo Garcia & husband Rick of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Brian B. Levinson, Elisa Levinson, Jaclyn Faye Garcia and Randall Mark Garcia; step-grandchildren, Cheyenne Garcia, Ricky Garcia; brother, Jerry Kanter & wife, Shirley of San Antonio, TX; beloved pets Myochi and Washu and numerous nieces & nephews.
