Sid, myself and Bill Thornton shared a 3BR house while stationed at Clark AB, in the Phillippine Islands.  We had some great times together and made some wonderful memories.  He will be missed.

I'm sorry to the world to have lost such a great man. He made everyone soo happy. To Grandma Barbara deeply sorry for your lose. He will be missed in soo many ways.

To the family of Sid Farmer. I got to know him of all places at Bill Millers Bar B Que in San Antonio. He was so friendly and loving. He took to my God child everytime we came in to eat. She would sit in his lap in eat salad with him and he just love that. We became good friends with him and loved his stories about his family and his life in general. Please know we are so sorry for your loss and he will be missed so much by us. I pray he is now in peace and not in pain anymore. Sid, we love you and someday we will be with you again eating Bar B  Que.

Sid was a great neighbor with a big heart and smile.  He was always ready to help anyone at anytime.  We miss him putting our paper up on the porch every morning. He will be greatly missed by all.

We have lived across the street from Sid Farmer and his family since 1979, and I have to say that our little block will never be the same. Sid took care of everyone and we all loved him. To the children he was 'Grandpa Farmer'; to the parents he was a man we could trust. To Gil, Jill and Barbara: He is still looking out for you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Only Barbara will recognize the TN Hillbilly, but I want to express my condolences to all the family.  Sid was such a fast friend.  He was without any doubt an unbelievable brother, husband, father, grandfather and soldier.  In the four years I knew him and Barbara, they brought joy into my life. I am an old friend of the family and I am so sorry to hear of Sid's passing.  I have fond memories of spending time with Sid, LaWanda, and Gil.  He was such a sweet person, full of life and it is hard to believe he is gone.  My deepest sympathy to the family.
