There’s nothing quite like being welcomed into the King family fold. I am holding you all in my heart. 

To paraphrase others, people may forget what you said and did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.  Phil was sunshine and a warm hug. 

Here’s to you, Phil and a life well-lived.

Phil was a kindhearted person. I knew him first from his counting at church and then through his tax service.  Phil was conscientious  to all all he met.  
After Phil and Argent moved, Larry would let me know how his dad was doing.
I appreciated his smile along with Phil's smile.

I am grateful to Phil King. He not not only cordially welcomed me into his home, he made me feel truly welcome by his sincere interest in getting to know me and by his unguarded sharing of who he was. So many of the best times of my life were spent in his company along with his first wife Della and all of their children: Mike, Patty, Jacque, and Larry.

I have truly missed all of "My Kings" and remain heartbroken over the passing of Della, Mike, and now, Phil.

I send my sincere condolences to all. Phil was a good man, honorable and generous of spirit. I thank him for showing me a way to be.

You are such a good father. You’ve loved all of us kids and provided for all of us. I’m so grateful for our upbringing and our travels around the world. You were a good man and I’m so happy to have been your daughter. I love you with all my heart and  I will see you soon in heaven.

Sadly, Phil and Della are both gone now. They were “salt of the earth” people who grew a beautiful family together. Their four successful children; Mike, Patty, Jacque and Larry are a tribute to them. The King family is a lighthouse to those who are lucky enough to land on their shores. 
Their family was a military one. They are a unit. In their family, they not only work hard to afford their boots, but they are expected to pull themselves up by their straps, put a frozen bag of peas on the black eyes and keep moving forward…together.  And to those legendary Louisiana kin who always pull together and for each other, I would like to say that witnessing your easy family camaraderie is a joy and a blessing. A family is the greatest legacy. Here’s to Phil. Rest in Peace. Kim Dennison

I just reconnected with him last month after many years. We shared great memories and I’m so thankful for that. Phil was my true mentor. He believed in me and whatever abilities I had and he nurtured them. I had very little confidence when I met him in 1979. He pushed me to be the best that I could be and I finally cracked the glass ceiling because if him. He and Della and his kids became family to ours back then. He was quite a giver. He was also quite the Dad. Above all else he was a wonderful friend.

There will never be another man quite like you. I love you so much. You'd do anything for anyone. I will miss our long conversations. I'm very thankful you walked into our lives. The girls absolutely adore you and I'm so thankful for the memories that we can share.I could go on and on about this man. Papa Phil I love you and I will be seeing you.

Poppa Phil was a great man. My biological grandfather passed when I was young, but he took me and my sister in like we were his own. I remember going to the movies with him and him taking me to get ice cream. The bikes I've had throughout the years are all from him, and he always sent cards for Christmas and other holidays. I'll miss him and the bear hugs he'd always give. Thank you for your service, Poppa Phil, and I'll miss you. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you before you passed, but know that you were always in my thoughts. I love you. Rest well ❤️
