Stella A. Carrisal

Stella Alvarado Carrisal was born on September 6, 1942 and entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2023. Stella was born and raised in Poteet, Texas. She was married April 25, 1960 to Tomas Carrisal with whom she lived a remarkable life as a military wife.

Stella is survived by her son, Tomas Carrisal, her daughter, Marianne Johndrow, her brother, Rudy Alvarado, her sister, Pauline Deroacher, and her adopted son Arturo Carrisal. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Stella is preceded in death by her baby girl, Mariana Carrisal, her sister Angelita Casanova, her sister Marina Apaez, and her husband Tomas Carrisal.

Throughout her life, Stella traveled with and supported her husband in the military. In her leisure time, Stella found solace in traveling, fishing, gambling, pets, music, and spending time with family and friends. Stella was a beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love and many cherished memories.

There will be a Visitation held Tuesday, December 19, 2023 beginning at 5:00 pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. On Wednesday, December 20, 2023 there will be a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Joseph South San, 535 New Laredo Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78211 followed by burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
