Stella Teresa Salazar

Stella Teresa Salazar. Age 86, of San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2015. Stella was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, and aunt, who lived her life putting her family before her.

She graduated from Ursuline Academy, continued her studies at Incarnate Word College School of Nursing (now UIW) and graduated in 1954 as a Registered Nurse. She worked in the medical field her whole career. She started at Santa Rosa Hospital, worked for Dr. John Walsh and retired from Northeast Baptist Hospital in September 2001 as a Utilization Review Discharge Planner.

Stella Teresa Salazar was born in Adkins, Texas on October 3, 1928. She was preceded in death by her parents Vicente Salazar and Erminia Trinidad; five brothers and seven sisters. She is survived by Dolores Salazar of San Diego, CA (sister-in-law); numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

We would like to express our appreciation to her loving caregivers Lisa Ramirez, Jazmin Lopez and Jennie Flores. Superior Hospice for their services, especially Joe Meuse, Elizabeth Vasquez and Angie Compain. Special thanks to those at Avionn Health Care Service.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
