Stephanie Anne Motz, age 30, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in San Antonio. She was born on February 18, 1986 at Altus AFB, Oklahoma to Nina and Joseph Motz. Stephanie graduated from Winston Churchill High School in 2004, received a Bachelors of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature from the University of Oklahoma in 2008, and her Masters in Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from Texas State University in 2010. She has since served as a lecturer and adjunct professor in the English department at Texas State University. Stephanie penned the book "Solving for (x)" that will be published in the near future. It is a collection of poetry showcasing her immense talent in her art form. Though she was very accomplished so far in her career, Stephanie had aspirations to continue her education and earn a PhD as well as stay in academia as a professor. She loved poetry and the English language and enjoyed sharing this with her friends, family and students. Stephanie leaves behind a professional life she can be proud of. Though she had no children of her own, Stephanie was the most wonderful aunt to two beautiful children. Stripped down to her core, that's what she wanted. She wanted to watch and enjoy them grow up and help shape them into the people they are to be. Stephanie was a loving Daughter, Sister, and Aunt. Heaven just got a little more beautiful!
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Russell E. Ethridge, Sr. and Minnie Margret Ethridge. Stephanie is survived by her parents; her brother, Michael Motz and wife, Melissa; nephew, Travis Motz; niece, Rachel Stephanie Motz; grandparents, Al and Shirley Motz; aunt and uncle, Russell E.
