Attorney Steven William Arronge, age 59, died January 14, 2007.
Steven is survived by Rosalinda C. Arronge, his wife of 32 years; his daughter, Lisa; and his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Arronge and George Ellis, his brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, and nephews.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Steven served as an assistant city attorney and city attorney for 30 years, then opened his own practice. He will be most remembered for his vast intellect, incredible kindness and wickedly sharp sense of humor.
An avid reader and UT Longhorn fan, Steven was most content sitting in his extensive library and watching his alma mater win football games. When the football season was over, Steven was often outside, herding his brood of adopted stray cats and tending his garden.
A loving husband and father, every spring Steven presented his wife with the first blossoming rose of the season and sent fresh herbs to his daughters. He greatly enjoyed traveling, theater, Symphony, and fine dining. Committed to both his faith and civic causes, Steven was a member of Temple Beth El, B'nai B'rith Alamo City Lodge, Alamo Heights Rotary Club, and the local, state and national association.
His wife and daughters would like to thank everyone who visited Steven while he was hospitalized. Their visits brought him great joy.
