He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Elizabeth and Arthur Kirchner. Steve spent most of his life in the Milwaukee area, most recently Waukesha. He previously lived in Plymouth, MN, San Antonio and Mesquite, Texas.
Steve was a fun-loving, gregarious man with a heart of gold. He was a successful salesman, lifetime Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed playing golf. As a proud member of a Gold Star family, he worked diligently to procure a Purple Heart for his brother PFC Richard Brunke, USMC
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard.
He is survived by his wife Lisa, daughter Madison, son Kyle and grandson Zachary Kirchner; siblings Barb (Russ) Panneton, Debbie (Mark) Newborn, Tim Brunke, Scot (Kris) Brunke, Mary Kirchner Harrell. He will lovingly be remembered as the fun uncle to his many beloved nieces and nephews.
