Susan is survived by her loving husband of 4 years James Harrison Leach, precious daughter, Naomi Joanne Leach, her father Daniel Rogers, mother Cheryl Cooper Rogers, both of Seattle Washington, sister Cynthia "Cindy" Rogers DeFrancis (Nick) of Boston Massachusetts, grandmother, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Susan earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from the University of Texas at San Antonio and obtained her national board certification in Histology. She worked in numerous labs in San Antonio as a histology technician working night shifts and many long hours. Susan also worked for Vitas Hospice and a brief time for Just Kids Daycare.
Susan was passionate about teaching and helping others, freely sharing her knowledge, skills, and time. During Susans college internship at The Lighthouse for the Blind, she operated as a teachers assistant and was developing a specialized curriculum that would benefit the students for generations to come.
Throughout her life Susan demonstrated her caring love and compassionate spirit. Spending time with children, she taught babies to swim, served as a nanny, and was a caregiver to the very young. Additionally, Susan was very talented, full of creative ideas. She was always working on new projects among them knitting a gift, or customizing items with her cricut. She regularly had several projects underway at the same time and always something new on the horizon.
Her family and friends were her life.
Susan - we will love you always and you are never forgotten.
