Susan Meredith Scott

Susan Meredith Scott, 68, passed away on May 5, 2015 in San Antonio surrounded by her family. She was born on August 10, 1946 in San Antonio to Mary and Meredith Blevins.

Susan graduated from Freedom High School in Oklahoma in 1964 and attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Her love of cooking and gardening were her ultimate passions besides her family. All holidays were dear to her heart, not only did they allow her to decorate but they got her entire family together. She met the love of her life in 1997, Jim Gilles, marrying him in 2008 becoming inseparable until Susan's passing.

For twenty two years she enjoyed her time working at Porter Loring Mortuaries in several positions within the company, retiring as the Executive Assistant.

Susan is preceded in death by her mother Mary Blevins of San Antonio, her father Meredith Blevins of Woodward, Oklahoma; her grandparents, Edna and Walter Blevins of Freedom, Oklahoma, and Olga Zander of San Antonio.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Gilles of San Antonio; her children, Terri Smith and her husband, Brian of Pipe Creek, Texas, Greg Scott and his wife, Trudy of San Antonio, and Tommy Phillips of San Antonio; Grandchildren, Summer Denten and her husband, Drew of Beaver, Oklahoma, Lauren and Riley Smith of Pipe Creek, Texas, Meredith and Cooper Scott of San Antonio; Great grandchildren, Haize and Kashin Denten; her sisters, Penny Brown and her husband, Howard of Owosso, Michigan, Abbie Call and her husband, Jerry of San Antonio; her brother, Mike Blevins of Edmond, Oklahoma; and her sister, Mary Elizabeth Dix and her husband, Tim of Lafayette, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Susan's humor and sarcasm will be greatly missed.
