A loving, amazing, wonderful, beautiful wife/mom/aunt/grandmother/sister/friend, and the rock of her family foundation! A feisty soul with a funny and fighting spirit for life and everyone she loved! She also extended and adopted family with people she was blessed to meet or know, and if you were lucky, she gave you a nickname. Her main goal in life was making sure her family was taken care of by cooking the best breakfasts/meals, giving her children (especially her grandchildren) the best she can offer (love & support), being an attentive and devoted wife, and made sure she phoned her loved ones every chance she had. She enjoyed shopping at her "Olmos" HEB and various thrift shops, dancing with her life partner, watching Little House on the Prairie/The Waltons/the Andy Griffith show/Cowboy movies/The Lion King/Friday, etc., and being the life of a party! A huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys & San Antonio Spurs and rooted for the Mexico Ftbol team, for her "honey". She loves her home, especially spending days outside in the sun feeding her birds and attending to her garden. Our common day Snow White.
Huge thank you to the medical physicians that, with Gods guidance, helped Susana share 13 more years with her family. Special thanks to her handsome doctors: Dr. Luis Velez, Dr. Reza Mizani, Dr. Jose Diaz-Widmann, Dr. Carmelo Otero, and Dr. Varshi Broumand. Along with the best dialysis staff anyone can be fortunate to have, the Fresenius Kidney Care Alamo City, with close friends she embraced.
The whole Bedoy bakery family, where she worked for a very short while, but created lifelong friendships. Thank you, Mr. Javier Bedoy.
Her best of friends of 30 years+, Mrs. Angie Mata & Mr. Manuel Mata, and of 40 years+ Mrs. Rosie Hernandez & Mr. Hector Hernandez, thank you for all the love and support!
Her home of solace for the past 48 years, Our Lady of Sorrows Church, with an open-hearted congregation and, lastly, an embracing bond with Chaplain Denis Perez and Father Dennis Venegas.
"There is an enormous hole in our hearts, but now a space in heaven, as she makes her presence and home, there (Un Riconsito en el Cielo)! We couldnt have asked for a better wife/mom/grandmother/mother-in-law! We will continue to be blessed as she watches over us and continues to guide us on our paths back to her and our Lord!"
