She was a 1966 Graduate from Lanier High School, where she was head cheerleader.
Mrs. Perez was employed for 31 years with the S. A. I. S. D. at Cooper, Tafolla, Mann and Irving Middle Schools.
She was a member of the San Antonio Retired Teachers' Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha Tanguma and Pete Montez, Jr.
Survivors: daughters, RoxAnne Garza-Pariz and her husband, Lauro Garza and Rozlyn Perez and her husband, Angel Flores; grandson, Cristian Angel Flores; sister, Yolanda Almaguer and husband, Rudy, all of San Antonio; nephews, Stephen and Jeffrey Almaguer; and great nephew, Anthony Almaguer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to an account for her only grandson, Cristian's educational fund, who was the "sunshine" of her life.
