He was a student at Bayes Achievement Center in Huntsville, TX. He was an active, happy person who knew no strangers and loved to play basketball. Tad's favorite word was "Hi!".
He is survived by his parents, Pat and Suki Smutz of San Antonio; and beloved sister, Sherrie Smutz Shelp of Sarasota, FL. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Saddle Light Special Needs Riding Program, 17530 Old Evans Rd., Selma, TX 78154 a division of the Special Olympics Organization.
Interment will be private.
