Tanoa Leiato, age 78, passed away on January 10, 2025 in San Antonio, TX. He was born in American Samoa on February 28, 1946. Tanoa was a patriot who loved his country dearly as well as his family. He had a passion for reading and watching Christian Television. Tanoa was a beloved husband, brother and uncle who will be greatly missed.
Tanoa was preceded in death by his parents, Tanoa, Sr. and Fotoheone Leiato and his sister, Vaitoelau Leiato. He is survived by his wife, Manai Leiato; his sister, Vaisuatoto L. Brown; Brother, Wilson Leiato, Sr.; Sister, Ronaivit L. Ho-Ching; and Sister, Siatunu’u F. Leiato; and his Fanau Tausi, his nieces and nephews Sarai H. Poloa, and Avea U. So’oalo.
A Family service will be held on Friday, January 31st from 8:00 am-10:00 am with the Funeral Service to be held at 10:00 am. The Burial Service will be at 11:15 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (Shelter #2).
