Terri Elizabeth Moore, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 61.
Born on March 29, 1964, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Terri was the daughter of the late Willodean and James Alexander. She is survived by her loving husband, Jon Moore; her children, Christopher Moore, Lauren Boag, Justin Moore, and Chelsy Steinkuehler; and her grandchildren, Willodean Steinkuehler, Grey Steinkuehler, Ada Steinkuehler, and Isabelle Boag. She also leaves behind her devoted brothers, Austin and Michael Alexander.
Terri and Jon met in Humble, Texas, and were married for 42 years. Early in their marriage, Terri supported Jon through his military service, proudly embracing the role of a military wife with grace, strength, and adaptability.
Terri was a gifted dancer who attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) in Houston. She continued choreographing and dancing even after becoming a mother—gracefully balancing her creative passion with raising a young family. In recent years, she found great joy in seeing her granddaughters follow in her footsteps by pursuing ballet, a legacy of love and movement passed down through generations.
She had a deep appreciation for good food, meaningful conversation, and time spent with those she loved. One of her favorite places to be was by the ocean—Terri cherished beach trips with family, where she could relax, laugh, and soak in the beauty of the water and sun.
Terri also enjoyed a meaningful career at Jefferson Bank, where she was respected by colleagues and valued for her joyful spirit and warmth.
But above all else, Terri’s greatest joy and purpose came from being a mother and grandmother. Her life centered on her family. She was their biggest supporter, greatest encourager, and constant source of unconditional love.
A visitation and service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
