Terry (McDowell) Shanley, 70, born in Smith Center, Kansas on July 13, 1949 and passed away peacefully on November 16, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas at her home surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by parents Glen and Helen McDowell, Vern Shanley, and siblings Margaret, Joyce, and Loretta. She is survived by her husband Dr. Melvin L. Shanley, her children Jenny (Kenneth) Hughes, Michael (Daniel) Shanley, and Joni (Joseph) Wickizer and grandchildren McKayla Hughes, McKensie Perales, Jonathan, Nathaniel, and Cameron Calloway and Adalynn and her great-grandchildren Penelope and Neto. Survived by mother-in-law Shirley Shanley, her siblings Everett, John, Sam, Pauline, Carol (Dot), Ellen (Dee), and so many other beloved family and friends.
Most her life was dedicated to managing Dr Melvin L. Shanley's dental practice where they provided care to special needs patients. Terry Shanley was a loving, caring, and selfless woman who touched so many lives. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to the American Liver Cancer Society and/or Down's Syndrome Association of South Texas.
