

Thomas E. Moorman was called home to the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2017 after an 11 year battle with Parkinsonism MSA. Thomas was born to parents Omer and Alvina Moorman on Christmas day, 1934 in San Antonio. He graduated from both DeVry University in Chicago and Trinity University in San Antonio and went on to enjoy a long rewarding career in electronics engineering at Southwest Research Institute, Brooks Aerospace, and formerly known Kelly A.F.B. Security Hill. After his retirement in 1994, he spent much of his time fishing with buddies, sons, and grandsons. He also developed a passion for writing and six of his short stories were published in national literary review publications. Comfort, TX has been home to Thomas and his wife for the past 11 years.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Capt. William H. Moorman. Thomas is survived by his wife of 12 years, Nancy; one sister, Emma Jean Moorman of Margate, FL., three loving children, Marshelle Roseland of San Antonio, Mark Moorman (Shirley) of Big Fork, MT and Matthew Moorman (Jaymie) of Great Falls, MT, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by niece Stacy Cerone and nephews Bryan and Derrick Vermillion.
The family will receive guests for visitation at Sunset Funeral Home on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:00am followed by a service to begin at 11:00 am. Directly following the service, Thomas will be laid to rest with his mother and brother at Sunset Memorial Park.
