

Tom Pierce was born in Dallas, Texas on November 25, 1929. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1947 and went on to complete his undergraduate and post-graduate degrees at the University of Texas at Austin where he studied clinical and industrial psychology. He served with the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Psychological Association.
Tom enjoyed a successful career in Human Resources. His work experience includes Martin Marietta, 3M, SuperValu, and HEB. After his retirement from HEB, Tom worked as a Human Resources consultant assisting a number of major organizations throughout the U.S.
Tom loved boating and water skiing the beautiful lakes of Minnesota, a hard day’s work on the family property in Hamilton, TX, snow skiing, and eating the occasional dessert.
More than that, he loved his sweetheart of 69 years, Doris Pierce and soaking up quality time with his son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Tom was kind, generous, wise, and strong. He was always “peachy keen” and his cheerfulness will be deeply missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kimbal Pierce; and his brother Jim Pierce.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Pierce; his daughter-in-law, Karen Pierce; grandchildren, Jason and Lauren Pierce, Jessica and Ryan Turner, Ashley and LCDR Jesse Lynn; and his great-grandchildren, Silas Pierce, Noah Pierce, Owen Pierce, Emery Pierce, Ryan Turner, and Carson Turner.
