Tom lived an extraordinary short life; he fulfilled each endeavor to the fullest. As Tom became ill he showed me how strong he could be. He did not do it to impress anyone; he carried on until he was ready to stop. When he had to miss work, he missed working and felt a since duty toward his colleagues and the citizens he cared for. Upon returning to work it was business as usual for Tom. When I returned to duty I was partnered up with him up in district one [1]. We both enjoyed working in that area it gave us the opportunity to visit with each other. I shared with him my concern over my recently injured then recovering knee issue. He was able to keep me focused and because of his medical background explain what I was experiencing. He would also include stories of his experiences as a jet aviator and some other stories relevant to that era in time. Tom was the first recruit I was assigned to, we trained on night-shift although there an age gap between us we became friends. Tom you will be missed, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I knew Tom many years ago when my family lived in New Mexico. He was a great guy as any of his friends know. My prayers are with his family during this difficult time. Rest in peace Tom.

Tom was a true and loyal friend. He always put everyone before himself and if you were lucky enough to be his true friend, you were his friend for life. Tom and Pam have always treated us as part of their family and it is wonderful to be with such special people. My love and prayers to Tom's family and friends in this time of grief. You will be missed my friend!

I was amazed at Tom's determination, through all the adversity of health, to make a difference in the lives of the citizens of our community. He truly will be missed, but forever in our memories. God speed, Tom.

I was very sorry to hear of Toms passing, I've known Tom since High School.Great person and friend. God Now has a very special person with him.

I couldn't have asked for a better dad. He was wonderful and I miss him dearly. He will be missed dearly but will follow his wish that we smile and laugh. I love you dad.

I had the priilege of knowing Tom for only 2 years. In that time I will never forget, anytime I came across his path Tom had something positive or encouraging to say to say to me. Tom seemed to never let anything bring him down and made the most of each day. A true inspiring individual. May GOD bless you and carry you on to his kingdom !

Tom will be missed by all of his extended family here at the Sheriff's Office. In the short time I knew Tom, I can assure his family you are his greatest legacy. He spoke of you all often and his love for you is never ending. I am sure Tom heard the words I hope to hear one day...Well done my good and faithful servant. A one-word description of Tom from me would be "dependable." When one thinks of all of the attributes that contributes to this description, few humans can measure up. Tom did, on every day he served his agency, and the citizens of Comal County... We will all miss you and your dedication to our cause....

Tom was a good man. He always wanted to help anyone he could. He will be missed.

Tom was a unique individual and a walking encyclopedia who seemed to know something about everything. When he left this earth and started his new journey a tremendous amount of knowledge also left with him. Tom will be missed. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and extended family at the Sheriff's Office.

I will miss Tom, I worked with him often when I was on patrol. I never doubted him; he was tough as nails. I remember being at a burglary in progress in Bracken, Tx. in district 4 one summer night. He never moved a muscle while we were on perimeter. We were both taking cover behind a patrol car and being constantly bit by mosquitoes. I remember asking him, "Arent you getting bit?" He stated, "Yea." I replied, "How can you stand it?" He stated, "Just act like its not there, like its not happening." As a young officer, at the time, I thought man this guy is crazy or tough. This is how I remember Tom and how I will always remember him, he was a warrior and I never doubted his ability after that day. Tom, I will miss you, but I know heavens streets will be a lot safer with you on their beat
