Tomas Alvarado

Tomas Alvarado, born June 10, 1943, in Chihuahua, Mexico, passed away on August 16, 2020, at the age of 77 in San Antonio, Texas. A talented musician, Tomas played various instruments and wrote countless songs to express his lifelong creative passion. His love of music was surpassed only by his love for his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he cherished and considered his greatest legacy. A hard-working immigrant to this country who constantly strived to create a better life for his loved ones, Tomas can finally rest. He will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends. Tomas is survived by his loving wife Maria Alvarado; children, Tom Alvarado, Adrian Alvarado (Carmen), Aurora Arellano (Angel); grandchildren, Amelie Alvarado, Isaac Alvarado, Gabriela Alvarado, Angel Arellano Jr., Alexander Arellano, Anthony Arellano; great grandchild, Camila Arellano; sisters, Aurora Alaniz, Carmen Alvarado, Maria Elena Alvarado; brothers, Jesus Alvarado, Rigoberto Alvarado. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Carmen Alvarado. Visitation will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, with a service to be held at 11:00 am.
