Tomas Martinez, age 70, passed in peace on February 22, 2017 in San Antonio, TX. Born on October 3, 1946 in San Antonio, he proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by the everlasting memories he left with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorina Martinez; mother, Anita C. Martinez; brother, Danny C. Martinez and son, Tomas Martinez, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Beatrice Martinez and son, Eric Martinez (Jessica); step-children, Mary Almaguer and Trinidad Almaguer and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Alicia Vallejo, Antonia Vegas (Jerry), and Lupe Hestand (Roger).
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 12 noon at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
