It is with deep sorrow that the family of Truett L. Skipper announces his passing on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at the age of 74. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Shiela; children, Chad (Marie) and Shaun (Allison); grandchildren, Ethan, Savannah, Sonya, and Jovie; brother, Johnny Wayne; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Frank and Gary; and his parents, Dempsey and Lynnie. Truett was raised in Abernathy, Texas and joined the United States Air Force in 1969, where he served as a medic in Spokane, Washington and Guam, Mariana Islands. Upon his discharge from the military, he completed his BBA degree at Texas Tech University and worked for many years as an oil and gas accountant in Midland and San Antonio, Texas. A celebration of Truetts life will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, 12:00 PM at Porter Loring North, 2102 N. Loop 1604 E, San Antonio Texas. followed by a military service at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. Memorial donations can be made to Remember The Alamo Foundation at TheAlamo.org
