Tyra Burt Dove

Born on May 5, 1946, in Harlingen, Texas, she was the daughter of Harris Neil Brown and Jessie (Headley) Brown. Tyra graduated from Edcouch Elsa High School in 1964, where she met her husband Marvin L. Dove of 51 years. Together they had three little doves LaShawn, Tyrina, Tiffany and a daughter by heart Yda. Tyra was employed with Christus Sphon Hospital (Medical Records) for 25 years.

Tyra had spent the last 10 years of her life in Killeen, Texas where she found love and comfort with Charles Hamilton.

Tyra was known for her unwavering love for her family and friends, her beautiful smile and magnetic nature with everyone around her. She was truly loved by many and cared for them all.

Tyra’s life is celebrated by her three daughters LaShawn Torres (Marcos Torres), Tyrina Moore (Todd Moore), Tiffany Dove (Moses Gonzalez) and daughter by heart Yda Garza. Her Grandchildren Kandis Torres-Martin (Corey Martin), Ryan Torres (Nicole Silvas), Tristian Lara (Bobby Chris Lara), Tierra Moore (Tyler Johnson) and TyKira Moore and her Great Grand Children Peyton Torres, Quentin Martin, Brayden and Brynleigh Lara.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harris Neil Brown and Jessie Headley Brown and her husband Marvin L. Dove.

Upon her request, a private celebration of her life will take place with her immediate family at the beach. A place we all know she loved.
