'I knew CMSGT Nemrow since 1979 when we met at Norton AFB CA. I have followed his career up to when my wife Chong and I met and were greeted at Lackland AFB TX. After knowing him for over 35 years we will miss him but will continue to look in on his wife Euni.'

'Steve and I met when I was stationed at Ft. Eustis, VA and he was stationed at Langley AFB, VA. We were married in January 1970 and had our daughter Hannah. Even though we separated we always remained friends, especially during the last few years. Hard to believe that he has passed away. He will always be in my thoughts. He was then assigned to the base photo lab at Norton AFB in San Bernardino, CA when I was there as an Air Force photojournalist. He then left to go to Korea where he met Yun. I met Steve when I activated for Desert Storm in August 1990, and we worked closely together for the next thirteen months. He was Jewish Lay Leader at the base chapel, and he invited me to attend Friday Shabbat services. For about a year I attended every Shabbat service, and I treasure the experience to this day. Steve's strength, wisdom and goodness were a great blessing to me personally, and a key factor in the successful support of the Desert Storm Combat Camera mission by the 1365th Audio Visual Squadron and it's nine detachments in six states. 
I thank God for Steve Nemerow.'

'Ever the jokester, Steven had nicknamed me "I lean" as both of my legs have been amputated above the knees due to a head-on collision many years ago. When he would introduce me to his friends, it was always I lean. My right leg is mid thigh and my left is just tree inches of bone. If I would stand up I would lean. 
Steven had a powerful ability to put everyone he met at ease and he would help any, anytime. What a precocious man. Until we meet again, I will miss you so much.
