His survivors include his wife of 55 years, Barbara; 2 daughters, Michele McCabe Birdwell and husband, Scott, Lisa McCabe Brookes and husband Steve; a son, Timothy McCabe and wife Jenny; 13 grandchildren; and sister, Cathy Beal.

There will be a Rosary on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8134 Blanco Rd., followed by a Mass.

Inurnment with Full Military Honors will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
