
Born in New York City, New York on March 24, 1917 to parents, Marvin P. Pearson and Clara Mitchell Pearson, and was raised in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey.
He attended Newark University, in 1941 entered Air Force training; was commissioned at Brooks Field, San Antonio, Texas; March 1942 assigned to Biggs Field, El Paso, Texas.
In January 1943, he married Jean Muller of Laredo, Texas.
He proudly served as a pilot in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign in WWII. He has been awarded the National Defense Service Medal (w/1 BSS0 AFM 900-3); American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award (w/1 Silver OLC), Air Medal, HqICDATC and Air Force Commendation Medal, HqMAC. He retired from the US Air Force in November 1967.
William is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Jean Pearson; two sons: William P. Pearson, Jr. and wife, Carole; Robert Pearson and wife, Cynthia Hume; grandchildren: Tracy McFadden, Lisa Pearson Gregory, Lucas Pearson, Cooper Pearson; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister, Betty Anne Terrell.
Bill will be remembered as a man who was always a gentleman ~ and the best guy that ever lived.
