Valerie Hunter

Valerie Hunter, age 49, passed away on December 12, 2007 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Bryan, Texas where she lived one street away from her husband-to-be David. After much match making from the sisters and mothers on both sides, he became her husband on August 8, 1981.

They lived in Oklahoma for 12 years where she graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma. After living in Australia for a year, they moved to San Antonio in 1999.

She was a bookkeeper for various companies until her illness kept her from working. She worked for the last 3 years at TMI-The Episcopal School of Texas. Valerie enjoyed golf, scrapbooking, and loved the beach.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Stewart Pfeffer. She is survived by her husband, David Hunter; son, Carson Hunter; parents, Valgene and Betty Pfeffer; sisters, Denise Ponzio and husband Chad, Carla Burkhalter and husband Rick, and Ann Brewster and husband Rodney; and numerous nieces and nephews. In-laws Nan Hunter, and Dwaine Hunter.

It was Valerie's most sincere wish that contributions in the name of "Valerie's Wishes" be sent to TMI-The Episcopal School of Texas, 20955 W. Tejas Trail, San Antonio, Texas 78251, in lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts.
