

Valiantsina Zholudzeva, 77, passed away on February 7, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Valiantsina was born on September 3, 1948, in a small village in Belarus to Sergey Philimonov and Evdokia Glushakova. Raised in a family of ten children, she learned early the importance of caring for others.
As a young woman, Valiantsina dreamed big and moved to pursue a medical education. She dedicated 46 years to the medical field, work she deeply loved, and served for 20 years in the USSR Army as a military nurse practitioner, reflecting her strength and lifelong commitment to helping others.
In 1972, she married her beloved husband, Viachaslau Zholudzeu. Together, they built a life centered on family and, in 2012, immigrated to the United States to begin a new chapter. She is survived by her loving husband, Viachaslau; her son, Val; and her daughter, Yuliya.
Valiantsina was full of life and had a rare gift for bringing people together. She formed lasting friendships wherever she went and was generous with her kindness and love.
A celebration of Valiantsina’s life will be held on Friday, February 20, at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218. Viewing will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the service and reception.
Valiantsina’s family extends sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Methodist Hospital and the compassionate team at VITAS Hospice for their care and support.
Valiantsina lived with a generous spirit and loved without measure. The values she carried, the people she uplifted, and the family she adored will remain her legacy. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
