Veronika Vasys

An educator for over 30 years, Veronika was a leader in the classroom and beyond, putting her heart into every interaction with students and staff. She dedicated herself to various elementary schools across San Antonio, namely Northern Hills, Colonial Hills, West Ave, and Northwood Elementary. She will be remembered by those she taught and worked alongside as unfailingly positive, empathetic, and encouraging.

Beyond her career, Veronika was a devoted mother, a loyal friend, and a safe place to land for many. Those closest to her will never forget her bright smile, or the way her laugh could light up any room.

She is preceded in death by her wonderful parents, Jesse and Mary Esther Vasys. She is survived and forever celebrated by her children, son Kole Pantuso, daughter Alexandra Pantuso, son-in-law Joshua Mitchell, and her brother, Erik Vasys. We are grateful to God above for blessing us with her for 61 years. However short, we are so lucky to have had her at all.

A special note of thanks from Veronika and family to the doctors, nurses, and staff at NEXT Oncology, all of whom showed unwavering care and support during her courageous fight.
