She was born in Denver, Colorado on January 22, 1930 to Mr. Juan and San Juana Guerra. Vicenta loved her siblings very dearly along with their spouses.
The family traveled to find work, so Vicenta found herself leaving behind her education as a young girl to help her hard working parents provide for the family.
She took on many jobs from domestic to working in fields of cotton, agriculture picking throughout southern Texas.
She met her late husband, Enrique P. Martinez while doing what she loved, which was being a silk presser. They made a life together as husband and wife for more than twenty years in their humble home at 2015 Bronte in San Antonio.
With her only son, Mr. Juan Guerra and daughter-in-law Elizabeth who she loved and adored for giving her four granddaughters along with their husbands, Vicenta's family grew.
Vicenta was very blessed to have lived her life for her loved ones. She traveled the United States, upper and lower west coast, mid-central and the east coast. Her battle with kidney failure never took away her faith or love for life and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Enrique P. Martinez; siblings, Gilbert Guerra, Mr. Pablo Guerra, Rodrigo and Eulalia Eloriza.
Vicenta is survived by her sister, Carlota Guerra; sister-in-law, Teresa Guerra; son, Juan Guerra and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; granddaughters, Patricia and Roger Forey, Sally and Rickey Evans, Elisa and Pierre Hobart and Jonnie and Rudy Herrra; seven great-grandchildren, Lauren and husband Clayton, Celice and husband Nick, Eileana, Rudy Jeremiah, Preston, Paisley and Rylie; four great-great-grandchildren, Jace Jocelynn, Eian and Analice.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all those who made it to her bedside, The Torres Family, tias, cousins, nieces and nephews, Gentiva Hospice Staff: Cindy and Dora along with others. There's too many to name but thank you, she loved you all very much.
