Victor A. Luna, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on May 4, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, to Victor Zavala Luna and Juanita Arenas.
Victor was a man of many passions. He found joy in the simple things, like spending time outdoors—whether it was fishing on a quiet morning, camping at K&L Ranch with loved ones, or taking scenic drives through the countryside. He cherished every moment spent with family and friends, always ready to lend an ear or share a story. His love for adventure was only rivaled by his commitment to those closest to him.
For many years, Victor worked at Fort Sam Houston Base, Kelly Air Force Base, Randolph Air Force Base, and Lackland Air Force Base, where he dedicated 41 years of his life to his work, building lasting friendships and leaving an impression on all who knew him. His hard work and commitment earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers. In his spare time, he could be found behind the wheel of his 1984 Chevy truck, driving through the countryside or enjoying the sights and sounds of his home state. He loved nothing more than cooking up a delicious barbecue, bringing together family for laughter, love, and good food.
Victor was also a writer at heart. He found solace and creativity in putting pen to paper, expressing his thoughts and feelings in ways that resonated with those around him. His words, much like his presence, will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Victor is now reunited in Heaven with his parents, Victor Zavala Luna and Juanita Arenas Luna, as well as his sisters, Lydia Cortinas and Jesusa Garcia.
Though he has been called home, he will forever live in the hearts of his beloved wife, Eloisa Luna, and children: Deborah, Victor Enoy (Patricia), Sandra J, Elaine (Henry), Eric (Monica), Erineo, and Rudy. He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren: John, Eloise, Melanie, Vanessa, Jayden, Victor Jr., Emily, Eric Jr., Evelyn, Katelynn, and Gwendolyn, along with his great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Hailey, Alyssa, Annabell, Alyssa Nicole, Atticus L, Jake, and Lisanna.
Victor's legacy will continue to shine through all of those who were fortunate enough to call him family.
