Mr.  Miculka was my principal at Olmos Elementary School. He was a warm hearted man and a great person to lead an elementary school like Olmos. My fondest memory of him is when our sixth grade class graduated and walked across the stage. I had pitched a very bad Little League game the night before and lost the game. Mr. Mac had been at that game and witnessed my team's ineptitude along with my equally inept pitching. As he handed me my diploma and shook my hand he said to me " There will be more games  for you to pitch" and then he smiled that smile he was famous for. Thanks Mr. Miculka for those kind words and being the man you were. I'll see you again.

I just wanted to say how special Mr. Miculka was to me and my family especially my father, the late Charles Korbell, Sr. They grew up together in Floresville and played football together. He shared lots of stories I will never forget about my Dad and him especially the last 5 years since Dad's passing. My Mother Emma Raska Korbell also knew Victor and his wife and has over the years said so many good things about them both. We have lost a wonderful ambassador for Floresville and a real role model leader. I am so honored to have had some time to get to know him.

I remember him as Olmos Elem. principal when I attended that school. He was always smiling and friendly and genuinely cared about others. I send my wishes of comfort to his family and friends.

You were kind, considerate and strict when you needed to be; as a friend, you were the best. Roy always enjoyed stopping by your house and getting in a long conversation about your pecan trees and the world around us. You left a legacy that cannot be matched. I know you are with Melva. Mr. Miculka Was a great man and an insperation to so many people. He was my principal all through Elementry school and lived in the neighborhood where we all grew up. I'm glad that he lived a long and fruitful life. He will be dearly missed!!!! My thoughts & prayers go out to his family during this sad time!

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Mac's passing. I attended Olmos in the late 60's. Mr. Mac was a wonderful leader and we all loved him. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Mac from an ex Olmos Owl, you will be missed, you were the greatest prinicple ever. We always used to walk down Dresden and see your truck parked in the driveway, and if you were out you would always say hello. God Bless You .

Charles, I was sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I remember him as principal of Olmos Elementary when I was in the 6th grade there. I have thought of him often as I was a 6th grade teacher for 15 years. It sounds like he had a long and active life. God Bless,

Mr. Miculka was the Principal of Olmos Elementary when I went there for all my 6 years. He was a fair and just Principal and we all Loved and respected him. 
I was only in San Antonio recently and drove by his house hoping to see him out on the front porch. My kindest regards to his family,

 I knew Victor mostly thru the Miculka Reunions in Moultin, Tx. My mother was Agnes Miculka Reinhard, a first cousin to Victor. As a fellow educator, Victor and I had many enjoyable conversations especially about the many Miculkas out of the Floresville part of the clan cho chose education as their career. Incidently, I have an old studio photo of the entire John Miculka family which includes my grandfather and Victor's father when they were probably in their pre-teens. WE WILL MISS VICTOR. HE WAS ONE OF THE NICEST PERSONS I HAVE HAD THE PRVELAGE TO KNOW. FIRST GROWING UP AT GETHSEMANE. THEN LATER I WAS PRIVELAGED TO RUN INTO HIM WHEN I JOINED HERMANN SONS. EVERY TIME I RAN INTO HIM, HE ALWAYS GREETED YOU AND ASKED ABOUT YOU WITH TRUE SINCERITY. HE ALWAYS MET LIFE WITH EXCITEMENT AND HAPPINESS. MY DEEPEST SYMATHY TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS. "Mr. Mac" was a big man, but he always made sure that his students at Olmos Elementary knew him as a "gentle giant". We loved him very much and always felt safe when he was around. Rest in peace "Mr. Mac", we'll miss you. Save us a place in heaven.

Was in town a few weeks ago, and was looking for Mr. Miculka sitting on the porch. Would have stopped by to talk had we found him outside. He was our Principal at Olmos Elementary. My sincerest condolences go out to his family. He will be greatly missed.

Here it is Thursday and I did not know that your father had died. I am so very sorry for your loss. Your father was so full of life and love he will be missed.

What can I say? Mr. Miculka was the best and most loving Principal to the Montellano girls. We will always remember his loving spirit and someone who had the respect of his students and community. He touched many lives. He will forever be our favorite Olmos Owl. May He Rest In Peace!

I knew "Mr. Mac," as we referred to him, from my six years as a student at Olmos Elementary from 1957-1963. I believe it was my first grade teacher who may have taken me to his office for acting a little too silly, and he treated me so kindly. I never was sent to his office again! 
Amazingly, he also attended my college senior voice recital in 1973 at Trinity U.

I have such fond memories of Mr. Mac as we students called him during my years at Olmos Elementary 1962-1967. I *knew* he really cared about me, believed in me & supported me through good times as well as bad. He & his excellent staff encouraged a love of learning in me that still exists to this day. Thank you, Mr. Mac, for laying a firm foundation for me as a youngster & helping to make me the caring & inquisitive adult that I am today.

I met Mr. Miculka many many years ago at Gethsemane Lutheran Church. What a wonderful man! I don't ever recall walking into the church and not seeing his big, bright, welcoming smile. He will truly be missed and forever remembered.
