He was born in Mexico City on January 22, 1931 to Enrique Romo and Maria Teresa Cosio.
He had a privileged mind and graduated from medical school, La Universidad Nacional Autnoma de Mexico, with cum laude honors in 1958.
Alongside the love of his life, his wife Martha, he established his medical practice in San Antonio in 1973.
He was a caring physician who was dedicated to enriching the quality of life for others in the community. He was a dignified man of rare intellect, tenderness, gentility and grace.
His family takes comfort that he passed peacefully at Northeast Baptist Hospital, amongst some of the very same caregivers with whom he worked for 30+ years.
Foremost, he was an adoring husband and father and touched the lives of many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Martha C. Romo; daughter, Martha Victoria Romo and son, Dr. Victor M. Romo, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
