Victor went to work at Kelly Air Force Base in 1940 as a supply technician in the Engineering Division, Material Management where he retired after over 35 years of federal service. Shortly after joining Kelly, he was sent to Station X, An engine repair facility established in England during World War II. In 1943, Victor joined the U. S. Navy, where he began a boxing career that put him in the same stables as such notables as Bobby Dykes, Al Jergens and Joe Moran. Later, he went on to win 24 of 37 professional fights. He also had the opportunity to spar with Exxard Charles, former heavyweight champion of the world.
While assigned to the Directorate of Maintenance at Kelly, He went to Vietnam on four different occasions as a member of a Rapid Area Maintenance Team. He also spent seven months at Edwards AFB, California, where he assisted in procedures involving testing of supersonic aircraft. Everyone who knew him, loved him as did everyone who met him. He was well known for his love of everyone, as a sharp dresser, a man of prayer, a man who would give away his last penny to anyone in need.
"Love others as much as you love yourself.
No one who loves others will harm them; so love is all the law demands.
How can you say you love me, when you don’t know me?
The “you” doesn’t matter, what does matter is the Y’shua in “you”.
Let God have your life, he can do more with it than you can."
