Virgel Wayne King

Virgel Wayne King went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Refugio, Texas on October 30, 1931 to Earl K. and Ruth J. King. He was an Electrician and worked in Civil Service for many years. He served on the Executive Board of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 60. Virgel was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Virgel was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ruth King; and his siblings; Elaine, James, Marjorie, Vincent, Evelyn, and Edgar. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, JoAnn King; his daughter, Kathy DeWaal and her husband, Philip; his grandson, Matthew DeWaal; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11th from 10:00-11:00 am at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel followed by the Funeral Service at 11 am. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
