Virginia was born in San Antonio TX on February 5, 1964, the fifth daughter and sixth child of Barbara Howland Bennett (later Peters) and Gerard Joseph Bennett. She lived a life filled with love, kindness and generosity. Virginia was born with an adventurous spirit. She was swimming and jumping off the diving board at the local pool by the age of 3. She was a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons throughout high school and college. She loved swimming, skiing, scuba diving, sailing and even took her love of adventure into sky diving and horse-back riding.
Virginia loved being by the water whether boating or taking part in water recreation - her love of live water brought her to her final home in New Braunfels TX, where she spent the last eight years enjoying its two rivers. She also enjoyed relaxing by the water in Rockport, TX with family and her dog, Maggie.
She received her degree from Louisiana State University in marketing and interior design which became a life-long hobby and interest. She retired from Dell Computer where she was Senior Sales Manager. In later years she worked in interior design and real estate. She was a talented artist and designer and always loved using her skills to decorate and beautify the homes of her family members and close friends.
Virginia was truly happiest when she was spending time laughing and carrying on with her large and loving family. She had an extreme love for all animals, especially dogs, and often rescued dogs and found loving homes for them. Our sweet Virginia will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her and was affected by her joyful presence and magnetic smile.
