

Virginia Dayton-Yamin, 86, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 8,2026. Virginia is preceded in death by her first husband, Eddie Dayton; second husband, Alex Yamin; and parents. She is survived by stepdaughter, Donna Yamin Lattimer Faglie; son-in-law, Jerry Faglie; brother, J.C. Nocker; sister-in-law, Martha Nocker; nephew, Jay Nocker; and niece, Cheri Youngson.
Virginia was born on July 23, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas, to Clayton and Imogene Nocker. She grew up in a close-knit family and graduated from Lytle High School before attending Durham business school in San Antonio.
She spent over 35 years working at First Federal Savings Bank. She was a long-term employee, starting as a Teller, serving as an Assistant Secretary and moving up the ranks until becoming the Senior Vice President of Marketing until 1993.
During her career as an executive at First Federal Savings Bank, she represented the professional interest of women in San Antonio’s business community and was an active member of the Zonta Club in San Antonio. She played an integral part in planning and the execution of Fiesta activities, specifically the Battle of Flowers Parade. Virginia served as President in 1978 for the organization. She was also an active member of the Rotary Club of San Antonio.
Virginia met her second husband Alex Yamin in 1996, and they enjoyed 25 wonderful years together until Alex’s passing in 2020. Together they continued to operate the Initial Tree Gallery until retiring in 2019.
The family wishes to thank the Nurses at Sage Park assisted living, and Gentiva Hospice Care for their compassionate love and care.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Mission Burial Park South, located at 1700 SE Military Drive, San Antonio, Texas.
