

She is survived by her beloved husband, Joe R. Valdez; five children and their spouses: Richard and Judy Valdez, Linda and Joe Zapata, Michael and Rachel Valdez, Henry and Belen Valdez, Joanne and James Tristan; nine grandchildren: Valerie and Alfredo Losoya, Jennifer and Jason Jeitz, Roxanne Ruks, Anthony Valdez, Robert Valdez, Christopher Valdez, Adam Valdez, Steven Tristan, Ashlee Tristan and Crystal and Christopher Salone; nine great-grandchildren: Ava and Diego Losoya, Kristan and Kasen Jeitz, Gavin and Claire Ruks, Anthony, Navaeh and Divinity Valdez, and Jerimiah Tristan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia graduated from Louis W. Fox Technical & Vocational School, Class of 1944. She then worked in Sales at Solo Serve Department Store and Charms Woman's Shop.
She had a passion for musicals and loved dancing. Her favorite actor was Humphrey Bogart.
Even years after graduation, she enjoyed attending her Alma Mater High School football and basketball games. She also enjoyed camping and trips to the coast with her family.
Virginia placed her family first above all things, we thank her for being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother ~ she was deeply loved.
We will cherish her memory in our hearts.
Visitation will begin at 6:30 PM on Thursday, August 1st at Porter Loring on McCullough.
