Virginia Nanez Git of San Antonio, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 9, 2020 at the age of 85. Virginia was born July 5, 1934 in Austin, Texas to Henry and Mary Nanez. She was also a loving part of a family of 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Virginia is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Mary Nanez, and husband, Kim Git. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Candace S. Zuniga (husband Jim); son, Kim A. Git (wife Mary); daughter, Virginia T. Goldsmith (husband Steven); and youngest son, George H. Git. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews whom all loved her deeply.
Virginia was a loving wife and mother full of life and joy. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She loved cooking, gardening and watching her favorite football teams. Virginia was always willing to help others or share a couple minutes of her time to talk.
A celebration of Virginia's life will take place later for family and friends. Virginia will be laid to rest at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
