Virginia Ellen Maurer

Virginia attended school at St. Luke’s Episcopal School, Texas Military Institute, and Southern Methodist University. Virginia also attended St. Mary’s Law School where she received her Juris Doctor and Washington University where she earned a graduate degree in law. She was a practicing attorney in San Antonio, Texas. Virginia was an advocate for many women and children in the local community. Virginia loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Ellen (Winn) Maurer; maternal grandparents, Bertha Winn and Dr. John Paul Winn; paternal grandparents, Rev. J.D. Maurer and Virginia L. Maurer; and nephew, Robert M. Delaurell. Virginia is survived by her father, Dr. Robert Maurer; sister, Anne Delaurell and husband Michael; brother, Robert M. Maurer II and wife Alycia and her nieces and nephews Madison, Hanah, Conor, Robert “Trey”, and Rachel; as well as numerous other relatives and a lifetime of friends.
