

Born in St. Louis, Missouri to Mae Girard Judlin and Oliver Arthur Judlin, "Ginny" grew up in the small Missouri town of BonTerre.
She married Warren Shevnin Wagner of St. Louis in 1945. Three years later, he accepted an executive position with the National Toddle House Corp. later, the Dobbs House Corp. and they moved to Memphis TN, where they raised their three children, and became active in numerous professional and civic leadership and volunteer endeavors.
Ginny, also known as "Nini" to her family, was recognized for her gracious style, cheerful wit, beauty and spontaneity. She was a generous spirit who loved parties, dancing and traveling. Widowed after 38 years of marriage, she moved to San Antonio in 1995 where she relished being a "Texan".
Gifted with a beautiful singing voice, she recently entertained her fellow residents in the dining room at Independence Hill Assisted Living with a memorable rendition of "God Bless America".
She is survived by daughter, Diane Mathews and husband, Randy, of San Antonio; daughter, Patty Wood and husband, Bob, of Memphis, TN; and son, Warren Edwin Wagner, of Bulverde. Also, grandchildren, Wayne Wagner, Brad Bellamy and Dolph Mathews, all of San Antonio; Peppy Wood Butler of Nashville TN, and Tricia Wood Bratton of Memphis. Additionally, she leaves seven adorable great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to acknowledge, with gratitude, the remarkable staff and her many friends at Independence Hill, who significantly contributed to her fulfilling life in San Antonio. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
Rev. Martin Leopold will officiate. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
