Wally Pirie was born at home in San Antonio, and died at home on the rural Bexar County property that has been in his family for five generations. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace D. and Elizabeth Pirie; his five sisters; his first wife, Nancy Morsch Pirie; and his stepson Michael Garner. He is survived his wife of almost 50 years, Rosamond Tully Pirie; daughter, Carol Pirie of Austin; his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Lorraine Pirie of Boise, Idaho; and many dear nieces and nephews. Wally graduated from Breckenridge High School, class of 1945. His profession was oil exploration, which took him all over the world. His wit and sense of humor are known far and wide and have made him many loyal friends.
