

Wendi Gallant Voutour, loving wife, devoted mother, wonderful daughter, sister and friend, was called home by the Lord on June 14, 2012. She was born in Sandy Point, Nova Scotia, Canada, on February 1, 1971 and raised in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada. She and her family have called Texas their home for the past seven years.
Wendi's faith and courage inspired all who were privileged to know her. Her radiant smile brightened all of the lives she touched. Everyone who met her was instantly drawn to her beautiful spirit. She was a true inspiration, living every minute of life to the fullest. Wendi was a gifted artist and a skilled athlete playing field hockey for the UNB Red Sticks. Her hard work resulted in numerous awards and the distinction of being a carded national athlete and playing in the Canada Games.
She graduated from UNB with both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Computer Science. However, her calling in life was as a devoted wife and mother. Wendi and Ted were high school sweet hearts who lived a true life love story. Soul mates from the start, their love built a beautiful family that includes three incredible boys.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ted Voutour, sons; Teddy, Tanner and Skyler, parents; Dale and Betty Gallant, brothers; Wayne, Timmy (Debbie) and Todd (Paula). Mother in law; Dorothy Voutour Murphy (Jack), Sisters in law; Karen Arseneault (Wayne), Linda Jardine (Kevin), Carol Richardson and Kelly Taylor.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home beginning at 6:00 pm, with the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes. Wendi was a strong advocate for Pro-Life causes.
