
William Curry Boyd, D.D.S. age 73 of San Antonio died Wednesday, September 18, 2002. Dr. Boyd was born at the Old Station Hospital at Fort Sam Houston March 26, 1929. He was the youngest of four children born to Dr.Joseph Boyd and Gay Enloe Boyd. After graduating from Texas Military Institute he graduated from Baylor, in Waco with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He served two years as an intelligence officer in the US Army then on to Dental School at Baylor Dental School in Dallas. He married Frances Pooka Howe June 11, 1955. This past May he retired from his dental practice of 44 years. He and his family have been charter members of St. Andrews United Methodist Church since 1959. Dr. Boyd was a founding member of the Texas Transportation Museum Board, a non-profit corporation dedicated to collecting and preserving railroad pieces. He was also a member of the Texas State Dental Society. Survivors; wife of 47 years Frances H. Boyd; daughters Caroline Easley and husband Craig of Bastrop, TX, Evelyn Elshaw and husband John of Olympia, WA; sister Barbara Wickert of Austin, TX; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
