He was born on October 19, 1930 in Roma, Texas to William Leland Clary, Sr. and Mollie Anderson Clary.
He is preceded in death by his parents, infant granddaughter, Kristin, and sister, Martha Clary Dickens.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosa Lee Medlin Clary; his son, David L. Clary and wife, Rhonda. Also surviving "Paw Paw" are his six grandchildren (Kevin, Kyle, Kristopher, Kody, Brittany and Bethany).
Leland was a teacher and Chairman of the Social Studies Department at Robert E. Lee High School from 1965-1989.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
