Bill was born January 25, 1922 in Jackson, Mississippi to Charles and Mary Clifford.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, LaVerne; daughter, Carolyn Fowler; and brother Charles Leo Clifford of Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He is survived by two children, Patricia Siulte and husband Rimas of San Antonio, and William A. Clifford, Jr., and wife Judy of Lubbock; son-in-law, Mike Fowler of Lewisville; grandchildren Michele Wheeler and husband Jeff of Dallas, Kristina Tolsma and husband Andy of San Antonio, Denise Caughron and husband Terry of Lubbock, Stacey Harris and husband Clint of Mansfield, Vytas Siulte and wife Aimee of Dallas, Mickey Fowler of Boise, Idaho, Scott Clifford of Lubbock, Tracy Mackin and husband Johnathon of Jacksonville, NC, Bryan Nickel and wife Cyndie of Lubbock; and 11 great-grandchildren.
