I only found out when I looked you up to see how you were doing since high school. It was a punch in the stomach. Some of us are getting together next month and I thought of you and how I wished I could invite you. I don’t go to HS reunions because there aren’t many people I’d like to see, but I’d like to see you again. You were one of the nice kids. One of the few who never said mean things just to seem cool. I’m so sorry I never got to know you as an adult. 💗

'More than two years have passed. And I miss Bill as much as I did on Sept. 11 2005. I'm writing because I drove up Route 117 today - the road he died on - for the first time since. He left a void that will never be filled. I don't know if anyone is still reading these posts. But if you are, you probably miss him like I do. If anything positive can be said about the loss of him, it's that his spirit will live on in everyone who loved him. I often think of Bill when I need to make a decision or set my priorities. I think of what mattered to him and I try to honor his memory by making choices that are consistent with his values and the things I learned from knowing him. It doesn't replace him - nothing ever could - but it helps a little to know he'll never be completely gone.'

I had the pleasure of volunteering with Bill at the Quincy Animal Shelter- Bill was very committed to helping out the animals and the shelter in numeraous ways and made a huge impact during his time with us. Bill and I worked on the marketing committee for the shetler and he helped us with numerous design projects. Of his many contributions, I think the biggest was that he created/ designed our new logo. That logo has given the shelter a new look and identity and we proudly use it on all our marketing and communication materials, business cards, newsletters and press releases, and clothing. 
 I imagine you'll hear from numerous people who's lives and hearts he has touched. And though I only knew Bill through his volunteer work, I wanted to let you know how much I will treasure the memory of working with him, how committed he was and what a big heart he had for the animals and that he will live on through the work he did, for us all at QAS. 'The only man willing to do cat care...whenever asked to help, his only response was "sure". He generously gave of himself and his talents to the animals and his friends at the Quincy Animal Shelter.

'I volunteered at the Quincy Animal Shelter on Tuesday nights with Bill and I will always remember how gentle and kind he was and how much he loved the animals. 'I got to know Bill while volunteering with him and Youlia on Tuesday nights at Quincy Animal Shelter. He was a very kind, gentle and loving person. He loved cats, and they certainly loved him, I will always remember Bill with the Kitties who would almost fall asleep when he started to use his special little massage trick that only he could do!
