For decades, Bill worked for Crown Lift Trucks, managing their Houston branch and then relocating to San Antonio to open and manage the branch there. Moving to San Antonio was a dream for Bill and his wife, Margaret, as they loved the Texas Hill Country. Bill spent time on the golf course over the years and later in life, had picked up painting as a hobby. He was an avid fan of Alabama football, cheering on his home state team for a lifetime. On any given day over the last decade or so, Bill could be found at his favorite local spot, J. Alexander’s. Similar to Cheers, everyone was sure to know his name and his presence will certainly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Margaret Huggins.
Bill is survived by his son, Victor Green and his wife Courtney; grandchildren: Ella, Olivia, Gavin, Rex, and Benny; brothers, Ray Green and his wife, Anne and Jimmy Green and his wife, Alex; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private celebration of life in the future.
