William A. Haile

He was a 1943 graduate of Uvalde High School and joined the Navy upon graduation, serving in the European and Pacific theaters of WWII until his honorable discharge in 1946. He attended Texas A & M University and graduated in 1949 with a degree in business. He was cofounder of the successful Haile and Haile Insurance Agency and a past president of the San Antonio Independent Insurance Agencies Association. William was also a Mason and a singer with the "Chordsmen".

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Gene Haile; his brother, Herbert Quarles "Q" Haile, Jr.; and his son, Scott Roberts.

William is survived by sons, Randy Roberts (Claire) and Craig Roberts; grandchildren, Rush Roberts (Priscilla), Rhea Roberts and Rory Roberts; niece, Donna Shepherd; and nephew, Charles Haile.

Military Honors will be performed Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach.
