Met Paul in 1973 at the San Antonio Table Tennis Club while learning table tennis in the basement of the San Fernando Gym.  A very kind and gentle soul who was always quick to help or offer helpful advice.  Sorry to learn of his passing.

I was one of the staff members to take computer classes at Rudder Middle School taught by Paul. He was very nice and had patience with everybody in the class. Paul will be sorely missed. My prayers and condolences to his family.

Paul hired me for one of my first jobs as a lifeguard at the North Texas State University swimming pool; (he was the manager) - thanks for your trust in hiring me.  Coincidentally, Paul became very close friends with my brother and sister. And coincidentally Paul left the body shortly after my brother, Jim, departed from the physical; so Paul, If you see Jim up there tell him hi.

I am saddened at this news and pray for his family. Paul was my co-worker and friend at Rudder Middle School for many years. He was a great teacher and a great person. He could always be counted on to be positive. He had a quick wit and sense of humor that was contagious. I considered him my friend after I left Rudder many years ago. Paul, I will miss you and have taken to heart the advice you gave me and treasure the good times we had.

I knew Paul at Edison High School and we sat next to each other in an accouting class. He was always so nice and laughed at all my jokes. I was so looking forward to being with him at our 50th high school reunion next month. Wishing that your sadness will soon turn to happy memories.

I first met Paul at North Texas State University in the Baptist Student Union Building. I was watching some students playing table tennis when Paul walked in. When Paul started playing my jaw dropped when I saw him play.I asked him if he could teach me to play and hours on hours of table tennis play began. Our friendship together has meant a great deal to both my wife Betty and me. We love Paul dearly.Lance and Dena,your Dad was simply the best person and friend anyone would want.Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My condolences and sympathies to Paul's family and friends. Paul and I were
raised with many others at the Protestant Children's Home on W. Woodlawn during the post-war 40's and 50's.  He was energetic, bright and very friendly--very popular with all the kids.  About 10-15 yrs. ago we met by chance and took time to reflect on our childhoods, laughing and sharing good old happy times.  Paul will be sorely missed, but will still remain my treasured friend.

Since Paul and I first met at San Antonio Junior College and then went on to be college roommates for one year at North Texas State University in the early 60s, we were very good friends. So much so that he was the best man at my wedding in 1967. Less than a year later, I got drafted and went into the Navy. I was stationed in Virginia and have lived in this state ever since. That was unfortunate for me because about 1,500 miles separated us and we only saw each other maybe about four more times because of work and family situations. Paul, however, made sure our friendship wouldn't end by always calling me around Christmas and make some kind of joke without identifying himself. But it didn't take me long to figure out who was calling. And we'd reminisce about old times for more than an hour, especially about playing table tennis at SAC. That's what brought us together and stoked the fires of our friendship in the first place. The last time we saw each other was when I returned to San Antonio for my 50th  high school class reunion. It was such a great and memorable time, and Paul again showed what a great caring and giving person he was. He opened his house up to my brother and me, took us all over town to see our old neighborhood and schools we attended. His first priority was making sure we were happy even though he had some school obligations at the time. My brother and my aunt -- who was also visiting San Antonio with us -- couldn't believe how incredibly caring he was to virtual strangers like them. But I told them he had always been that way -- a person with a gigantic heart. Paul was always someone who would give you the shirt off his back and more -- and not expect anything in return. No matter what it involved, he was always trying to help someone if they had a problem or needed help. When it came to table tennis, he would sacrifice improving his own game to help someone get better -- even to the point that they might become better than him. But that, I'm sure, was an enviable trait he had in all facets of his life. I know his children -- Lance and Dena -- meant everything in the world to him and I know he would have done  anything for them. He was simply the type of person that would put others first. Just being around him during our last visit made me realize how much I needed to be more like him.  My only regret is that I didn't get to visit with him more often because he was such a great person. I couldn't come close to matching his wit and sharp mind. I told him he should have pursued the life of a standup comedien because he always kept people laughing when it was time to have some fun. And laughing surely has solved a lot of people's problems. I know that anyone whose lives he touched as a teacher or friend will surely miss him dearly. I know I will. When Paul was your friend, it meant you had a friend for life and for the hereafter. His memories will surely live on forever. I'm just hoping the next time we meet will be at a table tennis club in Heaven. In the meantime, my thoughts and prayers will be with you, Paul. I know you're deserving of a mansion up above. I also will be praying for  Lance and Dena and family -- and I hope our Lord will comfort you in this time of extreme loss.

Paul was someone who was always willing to help others - whether it was in the classroom or in everyday life - he was willing to stop and lend a hand.  His sense of humor (sometimes dry!) always added to the sparkle in his eyes.  We'll miss him here on earth, however, I know that in heaven he will be helping the angels - especially if it's computer related.  Lance and Dena your dad left us with many happy memories - Keep the memories of the happy times spent together in your heart forever.

Well Paul, you've really done it now!  For years we have been kidding back and forth how hard of a S.O.B. that your were to kill.  I guess the Master finally decided it was time even though it seemed a little early to me.  All of us are really going to miss you. Thank you for being at my wedding, thank you for going with me to all those table tennis tournaments, thank you for going on those long vacations to Florida, Las Vegas, and Boise with Barbara and me, thank you for traveling with me to Las Vegas in June 2010 in a rental truck, thank you for letting us enjoy laughing with you for over 40 years, and best of all thanks for being an all around good guy who would help anyone in need. I first worked with Paul as a Computer Literacy teacher in Northside ISD and then as a Campus Instructional Technologist. Paul loved to share his knowledge with others - and his sense of humor. Sending my sentiments to his family - and praying God's comfort!

Paul was one of those truly unique people that enriched your life.  Through my Dad, I've known Paul all my life.  He's the reason I first got interested in computers and that grew into my profession.  Geek aside, my favorite memories of Paul will always be at Schlitterbahn pressurizing, laughing the whole time.  Thanks for all of the lessons you taught me.

Paul will be missed by all of his family and friends...although I have not known him for as long as his many friends, Paul was a sweet and kindly person...that I know for sure...and, I know I will miss him also...and, I want his son and daughter to accept my sympathy on the passing of their father...take care, Toni Ambro

Mr. LeBlanc was my computer teacher at Rudder Middle School. He instilled a love of technology and teaching children. My deepest sympathy goes out the the LeBlanc family.

I knew Paul while we were young draftsmen together at Ewing Records and Assoc. Paul was one of the good guys. A friend to everyone with a wonderful sense of humor, a quick whit, and always open to ready to discuss any different point of view. When Paul went back to teaching we lost touch but I never forgot and will always remember my ol' lunch buddy. Rest in peace Paul. God bless and keep your family.

Paul and I had been friends for over 20 years.  He was a loyal friend and a good man.  He will be missed.

Paul was a remarkable man.  He was loyal to his friends and kind to everyone in his life.  I consider myself blessed to have known Paul and to have shared some of his time.  My ex-husband, Jim Heath, was incredibly lucky to have such a friend in his life.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Lance and Dena.  Paul was a great friend for 18 years since first working together at Rudder Middle School.  We shared many stories and many poker nights over the past years.  He thought of others first and helped many, many friends in need over the years.  I will miss Paul's friendship, his sense of humor, and his love for the simple things in life.  Paul touched many, and he was our good friend.  I'll miss you Paul, and raise you a quarter!
